The majority of mortgage broker do not charge their clients a fee for their service - they receive a commission from the lenders they work with - Furth more this commission is covered by the lender and does not change the price of the loan product to the customer. There are however a small percentage of brokers who may choose to charge a fee - its best to check with your broker at your first appointment.

Most mortgage brokers don't charge a fee so it's free to you. They're paid a commission from the bank when you settle a home loan through them.

Mortgage brokers can charge a fee for their services, but this is not always the case. Some mortgage brokers are paid a commission by the lender, while others may charge a fee to the borrower. It is important to understand the fees associated with a mortgage broker before you decide to use one. When a mortgage broker is paid a commission, they are typically paid by the lender after the loan has been approved and funded. This commission is usually a percentage of the loan amount, and is typically paid by the lender to the broker for their services. When a mortgage broker charges a fee to the borrower, it is usually a flat fee that is paid up front. This fee is typically paid to the broker for their services, and can range from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars depending on the complexity of the loan. It is important to understand the fees associated with a mortgage broker before you decide to use one. Be sure to ask your mortgage broker about their fees, and make sure you are comfortable with the amount before you proceed.
